I personally do not have a ton of Valentine’s decorations around my house. But decorating the fireplace mantle and adding a little Valentine touch to the dining room is a must here at Pooh’s Corner.
You can probably make this paper heart garland for close to nothing…… if you have most of the materials in your craft kits. It is definitely a fun project for you and your kids to do together.
Emily picked out the paper.
Scrap paper [preferably pastel or valentine colors]
cardboard [you can use an old cereal box]
1. Cut out a heart shape on your piece of cardboard.
The reason I did this is because I didn’t want my hearts to have a crease in them.
2. Trace your heart stencil onto the pieces of scrap paper you chose.
3. Time to cut them out.
4. Cut slits in the hearts so you can string your ribbon through them.
5. Hang wherever you need a little touch of Valentine’s Day.
Oh, if it be to choose and call thee mine, love, thou art every day my Valentine! ~Thomas Hood
