welcome to wonderland

September 23, 2024 by Tina 20 Comments

AND THE WINNER IS ….. Jeanne @willowbay52. Please contact me with your address so I can forward it to Blend. Congratulations, now you will have some sewing to do!

WonderlandBlogHop-768x279I’m late I’m late for a very important date!

I really was late for the date because of some medical issues with Emily the week my blog post was due. Thankfully Amanda @jedicraftgirl switched with me so I could have a little extra time to get this fun quilt done for all of you to see.

A big shout out to good friends who are there when you need them.

IMG_4993 (2)It’s playtime in the Emily Ann’s Kloset workshop and I had so much fun working with this whimsical Wonderland fabric designed by Josephine Kimberling for Blend Fabrics.

Quilt pattern by Lella Boutique called Open Hearts.

IMG_5055 (2)My inspiration for this quilt: Our daughter Emily Ann born with a rare chromosome disorder ….. and in her world her mind takes her to places others will not see and most likely not understand.

A world filled with beauty and wonder. And cats.

I imagine it’s sort of like Alice in Wonderland. So magical & adventurous.

So today, to celebrate all things Wonderland I am going to be teaming up with Blend Fabrics to giveaway a fat quarter bundle to one of you!

Sew cute. Love the open heart design. Makes me think that Emily’s heart is like that…….open to whatever God places in there for her to hold and believe. Thanks for your beautiful spirit to be what she needs.
