Our theme this week is clothing. We will be discussing the names of various pieces of clothing and the season/weather in which it is worn. We will also practice some self-help skills involving clothing. Our letter of the week is Hh. We will be learning to count to 10 or 20. We will continue to work on our manners by saying please and thank you. Our fine motor skill is cutting simple shapes or lines. Our gross motor skill will be motor planning. We will be using a scooter to maneuver through an obstacle course.
I am really trying to work on exploring and manipulating objects/toys etc with Emily. I really want to work on her tactile defensiveness. I feel like if we get through this (her defensiveness) she will really start developing her fine motor skills. So my question is what are some things Emily really does not like to touch (besides play dough lol)?
So Emily was not happy with me today. I tried using the Velcro blocks and a new tactile ball she yelled at me…but she also gave me a kiss on the nose so I can take her yelling at me! She briefly touched the ball but yelled at the same time. I’m on a mission so I won’t give up!
A post on tactile defensiveness will be going up sometime next week.
Great work with kneeling balance activities.
So cute today very giggly!
Gross Motor Lesson:
She did the scooter all by herself!
