Fall is here and it’s time to decorate your home. Everyone is naturally drawn to the colors of the season such as orange, red, and yellow. Sometimes it’s as easy as taking natural elements and applying them to decorating your mantle.
Here are a couple of inexpensive things you can use to decorate:
1. Go on a walk and collect some things to use on your mantle such as sticks, acorns, leaves, etc. Cut a few branches to lay across the length of your fireplace mantle. To help keep them fresh for several days, cut each branch at an angle with your pruners. Use bare branches that have no leaves if you want to keep this look for several weeks.
2. Next, place your candle holders and candles along the mantle. Assorted sizes of candles looks nice and gives your mantle more shape. You can also thread tiny white Christmas lights throughout the branches.
3. Now add all of the smaller items such as your mini pumpkins and leaves. Spread everything out so it looks good and don’t put too much of one thing in the same spot.
Now you’re done and you have a nice looking mantle for celebrating Autumn.
It’s also fun to keep adding little things throughout the season.
