This week our theme will be Valentine’s Day. We will be reviewing all of the shapes from last week. We will learn to count hearts and review our colors with hearts. We will learn to cut out hearts and make many fun things with them. Our letter of the week is Rr. Our gross motor skill will be throwing, catching and kicking. We continue to work on our manners.
Fine Motor Lesson:
Refused to cut.
Lots of words today! sheep, pig, day, dog
Emily had a great day! She traced the heart and ripped paper with hand over hand assistance. She let me know she wasn’t too happy BUT she did work!!! She even had glue on her and did not get too mad! The end of the session she was being silly.
Physical Therapy Progress Report:
Emily has shown some improvement with her goals this marking period. She is walking down the stairs with a feet together pattern, but can alternate 3-4 steps with cueing (verbal and tactile). She continues to participate well in classroom motor time. She walked across the balance beam with one hand held and had only one less of balance with two passes. She is also showing more interest in back and forth movement with an 8 inch playground ball, and we are continuing to work on throwing with an increased outward movement. She is also showing more active movement during our sessions and she is a pleasure to work with.
