You just never know what is going to happen during any given day.
One minute you are waving goodbye to your little cutie through the school bus window & the next you are getting a call from the school nurse informing you that your child has fallen. [insert mini heart attack here]
One minute you are just chalking it up to another childhood injury [enjoying all the cuddles that come with it], the next you are calling the pediatrician.
One minute you are at the pediatricians office hearing, “Looks like Emily doesn’t need a stitch”, after he checks her badly cut bottom lip.
One minute you are thinking to yourself, “Whew, thank goodness she didn’t need a stitch, and who would have picked me up off the floor when I fainted during that ordeal?” The very next minute, you see the pediatrician lift Emily’s top lip and say, “Oh my, that’s where all the bleeding is coming from.” Then proceeds to tell you that she should see an oral surgeon right away because her teeth are loose from the fall, her gums are pretty damaged and still bleeding.
One minute I am listening to Emily cry no-no-no and the next my heart breaking.
We made our trip to the oral surgeon, he took an X Ray, examined her mouth and told us that indeed her teeth were loosened by the fall, but luckily children’s gums are resilient and they should heal fairly quickly.
I can now breath again.
Thank you to our friends & family for your prayers! Your love and support mean the world to us.
