Have you ever been invited to a BBQ or party and didn’t know what to bring? Of course you want to make something tasty, but you also want to make something that looks like you worked on it for hours right?
It’s no secret that when you arrive at the party with your dish, the sounds of people oooooing & aaaaaing is music to your ears.
So let’s get started, I have a BBQ to prepare for.
Tortellini: There are so many different varieties of prepackaged tortellini, just pick your fav. I usually like to use the multi colored, because quite frankly, I think people are attracted to colorful food but this time I am using all white. *my other pasta salad will make up for the lack of color in this one.
Diced Tomatoes: The diced tomato will definitely add some beautifully tasty color. Try to get the ones with flavor, it will save you from having to add seasonings yourself.
Aluminum Pans: I love to use these pans. They are perfect for taking to a party because you don’t need to hunt down your favorite bowl or dish later. Be sure to get the ones with lids. Excuse me while I call our neighbor who still has 2 dishes over here from previous gatherings.
Make the tortellini according to the package directions, drain & cool. Then add the diced tomatoes. Two bags of tortellini = one can tomatoes. The juice in the can of tomatoes will help keep your pasta from sticking together.
Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on top and you are ready to head to your party with a simple & tasty dish that looks great!
