Worries fade away when we know for sure our future is secure in God’s hands.
Sisters: Having someone in your life that you often don’t want breathing in your direction……but you would defend at all costs if anyone picked on them.
Before Lillian came into our lives we asked the same questions that most often do. And more.
We thought about our age, since we were trying to have another baby during fortyhood. We talked about the odds of us having another child with the same chromosome deletion as Emily, but since the Drs. currently didn’t believe it’s hereditary, the chances were very slim. Sometimes you just have to weigh the odds, read the numbers and go with your heart.
Weighing heavily on my own heart, was the idea that the slightest bit of attention would taken away from Emily.
All of those thoughts not only wash away when we lay our worries at God’s feet, but also in knowing that our daughter would have someone to watch over her and love her unconditionally …… even when we are gone.
We have no regrets. This picture speaks for itself.
This post inspired by all of the c17 parents who are considering having another child after their kool kid. But aren’t sure yet.
