Over the past couple of years here on the East Coast, it has barely snowed. We would look out our windows waiting for those sweet ice crystals to fall from the sky and they never came. Maybe a few but not enough to play in. Or build a snowman. Or justify buying a snow blower.

Not this year. This year we have gotten snow fall after snowfall. Inch after inch. Foot after foot. We have built snowmen, pulled the girls in sleds, shoveled driveways & walkways, had numerous school closings, bought a snow blower and taken pictures.

This is the point in winter when all my friends are hating snow and cold. Not me. Besides the fact that Emily marvels at the snow, I have taken some pretty great pictures in that snowy goodness over the years.

On this particular day in December it was unseasonably warm. But the kids were in their Santa hats and this picture just screamed to have some snow in it.
