The terrible twos are a normal stage in a toddler’s development characterized by mood changes, temper tantrums and use of the word “no.” Or in Lily’s case, “I can’t like that.” Followed by screaming & crying.
I’d like to compare this age to a screeching chalkboard.
It is definitely frustrating, and I have to remind myself often that she is developing independence and learning how to express frustration.
There has got to be a better way? Maybe we could install a mute button?
So for now I will continue to do my best, focus on the good, kiss those sweet cheeks, remember that God has faith in me and buy lots and lots of Calgon.
PS. Don’t call social services, I’m just wrestling my kid into the car seat.
